NEW DELHI: Spaces, an Amsterdam-born co-working space provider, has launched its first shared-space in Cyber City, Gurgaon.
Spaces along with five other brands i.e. Regus, Signature, Open Offices, Kora and MOS are the subsidiary of IWG, a global workplace provider headquartered in Brussels.
The 30,000 sq ft of co-working space in Gurgaon has 430 seats capacity. The company expects this centre to break-even in 8-12 months.
This is the 25th facility globally for Spaces. The company plans to open its next India facility in Chennai on May 1 and is likely to aggressively expand to 50 locations over the next few months.
Chennai shared-space will be spread in 35-40,000 sq ft and will have 400-500 seat capacity.
During the launch Harsh Lambah, Country Manager, Spaces said, “Spaces is redefining the way work is done, providing a contemporary, social and inspirational environment with a real focus on community. Co-working spaces were initially looked upon as spaces primarily for startups. Co-working spaces are seeing an increasing inclination from various conglomerates. The attraction is due to lower rentals, a social and inspirational environment and much more. The group Spaces venture into the Indian commercial space started in North will be extended down south.
